The NC State Wolfpack jumped out to an early lead, but needed a furious comeback from a 9-point deficit with just over 2 minutes to go to defeat rival North Carolina, 34-30. Wolfpack quarterback Devin Leary threw 2 of his 4 touchdown passes to wide receiver Emeka Emezie in the last 2 minutes of the game. Leary threw for 247 yards and 4 total touchdowns in the game. Emezie caught 5 passes for 112 yards and the 2 touchdowns. NC State’s special teams delivered with an onside kick recovery a blocked punt recovered and for a touchdown in the game. For North Carolina, quarterback Sam Howell threw a touchdown pass and rushed for 2 touchdowns in the game. UNC running back British Brooks rushed for 124 yards in the loss.
