Literally the best way to clean suede!!
How to clean suede & nubuck:
In this video I take you through the process I take whenever cleaning suede shoes. The method I teach is what I like to call the “Dry Cleaning Method”. It’s very important, whenever working with suede, to not get the shoes wet because in this case the suede on the 11s is dyed. So getting the shoes wet would cause bleeding which is when the dye lifts up out of the suede and causes the color to fade. 1st step is to dry brush the whole entire shoe just to knock off any dirt that is sitting within the fibers of the suede. Then the 2nd step is to break up the suede that turned hard when getting wet. To do this it’s best to use a metal cuticle pusher that has rounded edges at the tips. After that it’s time to clean the shoe using just a white eraser. To finish up I put Angelus Mink Oil all over the suede which will darken the color, condition the suede to make it more soft and vibrant, and lastly it puts a protectant coating all over making it water resistant.
