Unboxing and review of the Jordan 1 High Baroque Brown “Bio Hack”.
The BIO HACK is the first, vibrant, colorful and very loud Jordan 1 HIGH released this year.
This BIO HACK Jordan 1 High was inspired from the iconic 2005 Nike Dunk High Undefeated. The resale value of this shoe in STOCKX is around $1200.
Talking about colors – this past few weeks or months, we saw a lot of colorful vibrant sneakers like the latest Jordan 4 Retro Union Guava Ice, Jordan 5 Alternate Bel Air, Asics Sean Wotherspoon and Atmos, Nike SB Grateful Dead colorways, and Adidas Superstar Super Earth by Sean Wotherspoon. I got an L on all of those sneakers. Their resale value based on Stockx is really high.
DETAILS
Going back to the shoe, let’s take a closer look at the BIO HACK!
Overall color of this shoe is visually inspired by the colors in Japan, specifically in the city of Tokyo – vibrant neon-lit buildings at night and fast-paced lifestyle.
Looking at the toe box, we have a sky blue or teal color in soft leather.
The side toe guard up to the eyelet overlays is colored Indigo.
Moving to the side, we see the ankle collar in brown suede. Here we can see the Air Jordan wingman logo stamped on the leather.
Here’s a nice touch, the collar part is not stitched on the ankle part – it opens like wings. And inside of the collar is a bright green – a really nice touch to the shoe.

The brown leather continues from the ankle collar to the heel part as well.
At side panels, we can see the black suede leather with the Nike swoosh in shiny silver.
Looking at the front, for me this is one of the best parts of the shoe. A bright glowing yellow at the tongue part with a cut side part which makes this shoe look very rugged and rough.
Looking at the inside, we can see a racer Pink sockliner – which is fire! It’s a bit padded when you squeeze it.
The inner sole is the same color as the toe box – sky blue or teal.
Another best part of this shoe which also makes it a bit unique is the label at the tongue. This is not the usual nylon or leather tab. They embroidered the Nike Air badge which is very seldom for the Jordan brand to do this kind of style.
Looking at the inside of the tongue, we see the details of the shoe on screen printed. Very nice touch, I like it! Im’ not sure though if in time the text will wear out.
Looking at the outsole, we see a solid black color which is good to hide the dirt.
And last but not the least – the midsole – we have a big bright-green color. Actually, this midsole color made the BIO HACK look balanced and it brings the colors of the shoe together.
SUMMARY
Hey, I know the colours on this shoe are toooo much – but I personally like it!
Nike and Jordan brand methodically, thought through on what is the right color to use together and which part of the shoe to use the color. Which is not an easy thing to do – especially when you want to please millions of consumers! Seriously, I am really impressed on that front – it’s not easy to mix and match colors and yet will still look great as a whole.
The bright color accents on the tongue, lining and the midsole added the life in this shoe – it has that fresh and earth tone color compliment.
Resale value for the BIO HACK in stockx is around $300, this can go down in a few weeks but eventually prices will go up slowly as usual for a Jordan 1 High, then it will hit it’s ceiling resale price.
The Bio Hack is the craziest Jordan 1 colorway release this year – so far! This is definitely a cop in my opinion!
Mixing a classic Jordan 1 High silhouette and crafting it in a modern and stylish way is a risk. We are used to seeing a classic and vintage Jordan 1 High.
I can see that Nike and the Jordan brand is pushing and breaking away from the normal vintage look of a classic Jordan. It’s a double edge sword if you think about it. As a consumer for a Nike and Jordan brand – we only have two choices moving forward – EVOLVE or REPEAT. Which one do you prefer?
